Practice Manager-Internal Medicine Residency Clinic Responsibilities: Personnel management and oversight of clinic operations for two physicians and one to two Mid-Levels
Managing the daily operations of the office
Identifies and resolves operational problems
Organization and self-starting abilities
Skills in effective personnel management and written/verbal communication
Familiarity with policies and confidential information
Must demonstrate positive interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians and other staff
Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and direct the work of others
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
Prepares payroll for employees and physicians
Assists with hiring and training of assigned staff
Manages accounts payable
Performs other related duties as directed or required
Maintains patient confidentiality
Provides coverage to front office as needed
Must have considerable knowledge of computers
Must be proficient in the use of various office equipment
Position demands ability to work under stress with constant interruption and deadline pressure while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
Maintains a professional image
Makes a conscientious effort to help maintain a clean, safe and secure environment
Assumes responsibility for institutional requirements
Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation, stooping and bending to files and supplies, or sitting for extended periods of time
Maintains a professional image
Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 20 pounds. Light physical exertion is required.
Considerable sitting, some standing, stooping, walking, and lifting small boxes of supplies.
Qualifications: Minimum of High School Diploma equivalent, Business school or college preferred
Preferred three years' medical office experience as a supervisor/office manager with demonstrated expertise in office management, public relations, administrative duties, records management, and verbal and written communication
Medical office experience strongly preferred
