PRIMARY PURPOSEThe Pastry Sous Chef shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. This position will assist the Head Pastry Chef in creating a wide variety of desserts and baked goods to ensure that guests have an exceptional dining experience.Assist with managing a team of pastry cooks in completion of tasks.**Additional Responsibilities – 5%**Other job-related duties as assigned. CORE COMPETENCIES MINIMUM AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS **Experience:** This role requires strong organization & time management skills with an emphasis on customer service. At least 2 years of experience in pastry preparation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal & written, to create understanding and build strong working relationships required. Supervisory experience preferred.**Education:** HS Diploma or GED equivalent. Food handling certificate required.
