About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Assist in architectural design services from concept through construction for all the interior design team’s projects.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other internal disciplines on projects.
  • Assist in the design phases of a project
  • Responsible for assisting with updating, editing, and revising design elements during the construction phase of the project
  • Assists in development of conceptual and schematic design packages
  • Develops, modifies, and reviews construction documents.
  • Coordinates with and advises clients throughout the construction phase of the project.
  • Performs shop drawing and submittal reviews.
  • Research codes and verifies code compliance.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors in interior design, architecture or environmental design, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • Experience in large-scale multifamily and mixed-use projects
  • Typically, 3-5 years of experience in the Interior Design field
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of building systems, design standards, construction processes, and permitting/certification requirements.
  • Possesses experience with value engineering, project budgeting, scheduling, and managing construction timelines.
  • Understands and coordinates with various agencies, disciplines, and engineering consultants to ensure successful project execution.
  • Reviews and interprets construction documents, including pay applications, change orders, RFIs, and technical reports.
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, and is proficient in industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, COMcheck-EZ, and Microsoft Project.

Benefits

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $60,000-$70,000.
