Overview The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online High School English tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—all from the comfort of your home. What You’ll Do Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students. Accept on-demand tutoring requests when you’re available. Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise. Leverage AI-powered tools (Tutor Copilot) to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features. Invoicing is managed by the platform and payments are handled by Varsity Tutors. Compensation and Schedule Earn incrementally higher pay for each session with the same student—up to $40/hour. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely—no commuting required. Qualifications Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in High School English and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to candidates with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
